Winneshiek Wildberry Winery

Set in the rolling hills of northeast Iowa is Winneshiek Wildberry Winery.

Located on what has been a family farm for over 140 years now sits a winery, gift shop and 4 acres of beautiful vineyard.

Ken and Yvonne Barnes and their two daughters, Darla Jones and Beth Guzman keep everything running.  Darla is the winemaker and they have found some interesting names for their wide variety of wines…Horny Heifer, Rowdy Rooster, Ole Made Lena Blush and Hunga Dunga Bird, to name a few.  I think it would be worth the trip to visit the winery and find out how they decided on names for their wines :)

There is always something happening at Winneshiek Wildberry Winery.  They offer cooking classes in their open kitchen, the tasting room has an indoor rose garden, the patio faces west for beautiful Iowa sunsets, a gift shop and there is rental room available for entertaining your favorite group of friends!  Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day in the country and RELAX!
