Two Rivers Soap Company started like many small businesses do…by accident 
Jennifer, a Reference Librarian had a request for a recipe for handmade soap. Thinking at the time it was kind of silly, she did her research and soon she too became intrigued. When she made her first batch she knew ~ there wouldn’t be anymore “grocery store” soap.
Two Rivers Soap Company was born in 1999. Jennifer Thompson, head Microsoapoligist, is still making her soaps in her microsoapery (kitchen)…one small batch at a time. All of her soaps are inspired by nature and colored with herbs, spices and clays. The beautiful aromas come from the highest quality fragrance oils. Look at all the variety! They even come in pretty wrapping!
If you are interested in smelling the different flavors up close ~ you can find Two Rivers Soap every Saturday at the downtown Des Moines Farmers Market from May to October. Be sure to check times and other locations too! Each soap is filled with skin-loving ingredients…Your skin deserves some luxury!
