It’s hard to know where to start…anyone that ever wondered what it felt like to be a part of the late 1800′s…just enter the door! Jim, one of the proprietors, is such an interesting gentleman with a wealth of knowledge of the times. If you are lucky you will meet him.
Your eyes don’t know what to focus on first…there is a Gentlemans building and a Ladies (I have never seen a real corset before…beautiful…not sure I want to wear one…but beautiful!) And ladies hats ~ they are handmade (as is muchof the clothing) in the millinery upstairs over the shop. Jim hand styles the men’s hats in over 60 different styles…he has been doing it for over 37 years and he is really good at what he does. His wife Linda, the other proprietor, is the head seamstress. Looking at the finished products, she is also really good at what she does.
In order to really appreciate all they have to offer ~ you need to stop by and visit. You will be so glad you did. So many things to see, make sure you give yourself enough time to leisurely wander. Make sure to watch for next years ‘Traders Jubilee’. Authentic ~ just like back in the day!
Trader’s Jubilee has come and gone ~ Make sure to mark your calendars to see Reenactments of the Old West, a great real Cowboy social event! We will keep an eye out for dates and keep you posted!
