1985 was a BIG year for Amana ~ Millstream Brewing Company opened it’s door and it became the first brewery to operate in Amana since 1884.
Three Amana men, Carroll F. Zuber and brothers James and Dennis Roemig, had dreamt of building a small brewery to produce small batches of hand brewed beer reminiscent of Europe’s finest brews ~ their dream had finally come true. Proving it only takes hard work and a dream!
In 2000, the current owners ~ meet Tom, Teresa & Chris ~
continued with that dream when they purchased the brewery. They proudly brew about 15 different brews throughout the year. (Pssst…More styles are coming!)
The trio are committed to continually making quality brews, one batch at a time. They can currently boast 28 national awards and 1 international award, (Schild Brau Amber – Gold Medal at the World Beer Cup 2010)…they deserve a round of appalause
