When I went for a visit, I was so impressed! Thank you Adam & Craig. Such bright, creative and knowledgeable people creating AwEsOmE works of art! I believe if you can dream it they CAN create it!
A fascination with lighting that came from their early work with photography and experimental theater, Adam Jackson Pollock and Benjamin Goldstone started Fire Farm in 1990. Ten years and many lamps later Adam moved Fire Farm from California to it’s current home in Elkader…can you say ‘culture shock’. Under Adam’s direction Fire Farm has become a source for custom lighting and sculptural pieces that can be found all over the United States and around the world.
You can find these lighting options in private homes, public buildings and a wide range of hospitality locations. They range in sizes from regular wall sconces to huge!
The types of fabrics and fibers that are used are incredible…stainless steel wire cloth mesh was one. Kind of contradictory in words, but when I felt it it felt like cloth! See the pic! (psssst…Shirley is a fabulous seamstress.) It’s also fascinating all the twists and turns of metals and how they all seamlessly come together. They are very knowledgeable and interested in what their clients are looking for. Can you tell many things at Fire Farm amazed me.
Fire Farm invites you to come take a tour of the factory and see for yourself the Fun things going on in the little factory in Elkader.
